How we are funded
We rely on the generosity of the public, charitable trusts and other organisations to fund our work. We would like to thank everyone who contributes to our charity – every donation, small and large is welcomed and put to good use, helping to break the isolation and relieve the distress felt by those bereaved by suicide.
Raising the funds to continue our work is a constant challenge – find out more about supporting us through donations or fundraising.

Payroll Giving
If your employer runs a Payroll Giving scheme, you can use this to make donations to us via PAYE – because money is deducted from your pay before tax is paid, your donations cost you less. For example, it would only cost an employee who pays tax at the basic rate of 20 per cent £8 to make a £10 donation to their charity. And it would only cost an employee who pays tax at the higher rate of 40 per cent £6 to make a £10 donation.
You can keep your choice of charity confidential and you can choose how much you want to donate. For more information, speak with your employer or look at HMRC – Payroll Giving.

Remember us in your will
You may wish to leave us a donation in your will. You will find advice on how to do this on the HMRC website.

If your donation, sponsored event or fundraiser is for a particular support group, please indicate this in your correspondence to us.
Thank you for your generosity.
Fundraising
“Our work takes a lot of love, time, and energy.
“Our work takes a lot of love, time, and energy.
We need all the help we can find.”
There are many things you could do today to help us reach more people. If you’re really pushed for time, could you just help us get the word out about what we do? If you’d like to get more involved, perhaps fundraising or volunteering is for you?
On this page, we’ll take you through the things you could do which can make the biggest difference to people trying to survive bereavement by suicide.
Spread the word
Many people have never heard of us – many will never need our help and most cannot imagine that a suicide will ever affect them.
But when it happens, it is so important that they get the right help and support.
When a suicide happens, there are a number of organisations and professions that the bereaved may come into contact with. We know that when these people know about us, they share our details with those who have been bereaved.
Help us by spreading the word and raising awareness about us.
If you are a professional or individual working to support those bereaved or impacted by suicide loss, then we have a range of resources available for you to order free of charge. These may be useful to those working in the following professions:
GPs and health professionals
Funeral directors
Police
Coroners
