The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 is 'Community', and at SoBS, it's at the heart of everything we do.
When you're grieving the loss of someone to suicide, the world can feel isolating, but you don't have to carry the weight of this loss alone. Our volunteer-led groups, national support line, and peer networks offer safe spaces where people can be heard, understood, and supported through their grief.
This #MHAW2025, we're inviting YOU to help...

In this blog, we're honoured to share the story of Danielle and her "Forget Me Not" fundraiser: a heartfelt tribute to her mum and uncle, and a campaign that's made a lasting impact on suicide bereavement support in her local town. Read MoreThose of us who have experienced this terrible tragedy truly understand. None of us need to suffer alone. Together we help each other.
We help individuals support each other, at the time of their loss and in the months and years that follow. We aim to provide safe, confidential environments where people can share their experiences and feelings, giving and gaining support from each other.
Our supportline is run by trained volunteers personally impacted by suicide. While we’re not a counselling service and can’t provide support for wider mental health or social care needs, we’re here to listen and support your grief journey. Due to demand, call duration is limited for support at scale.
Our online community forum offers peer-to-peer support to those bereaved by suicide. Please click the image above to complete an application form to gain access to our forum. Forum applications will be approved within a couple of days. You must be over the age of 18 to access our forum.
