St Helens Supporters of Bereavement by Suicide (SOBs) Group

St Helens is a town in Merseyside, though really Lancashire, and is most famous for Glass, Mining, Rugby League & Beecham’s Pills.

The group was formed around 2010, presently, Anne, Kim & Derek are the group facilitators. We meet in a town centre venue 7:00pm – 9:00pm on the 2nd Thursday of the month. We have a wide geographical coverage and members from Warrington, Halton, Leigh, Wigan & beyond attend. Everyone is welcome. Members can also keep in touch via the Group Facebook Page (Restricted to Members Access Only)

The group receives wonderful support from the local Council, NHS Healthy Living Team and have tie ins with other local support organisations, often being present at local Health & Wellbeing events.. Along with Amparo, St Helen’s Council & the Healthy Living Team, we host a very successful ‘Suicide Memorial Service’ annually.
